Tether partners with Vietnam Blockchain Association to promote local blockchain and AI education

Odaily News According to official news, stablecoin issuer Tether announced a strategic partnership with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) to promote blockchain and digital asset education. The cooperation aims to popularize blockchain technology to public stakeholders through a series of conferences and seminars, and promote knowledge sharing and capacity building within the industry. It is reported that the Vietnam Blockchain Association, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, is a gathering place for the standardization and promotion of blockchain technology in Vietnam. The association plays an important role in promoting blockchain technology in Vietnam and advocates blockchain education by holding educational activities across the country. In 2023, Vietnam became the worlds third largest cryptocurrency value-added country after the United States and the United Kingdom, with a value-added of nearly US$1.18 billion, becoming one of the five Asian markets in the top 10 countries in terms of cryptocurrency value-added. Vietnamese citizens reportedly use cryptocurrencies to access banking services that were otherwise inaccessible. About 17% of the population owns or holds cryptocurrencies, making Vietnam a center of cryptocurrency activities.
