According to the released evaluation index, Ethereum, which is currently the most widely used smart contract, ranks first overall, with a total index of 129.4. The second to fifth places are Steem Chain, Application Chain, NEO, and Komodo, with corresponding indices of 115.9, 104.8, 103.0, 101.5, and 100.7 respectively. Currently, BTC, which has the most global influence, has an evaluation index of 88.1, ranking 13th.
Information shows that 28 public chains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple will be the first evaluation objects. Criteria for the identification of public chain evaluation objects: first, having its own independent main chain; second, public chain nodes can be freely created; third, having a public block browser, and block information can be consulted; fourth, code open source; fifth, owning a project Home page, where the project team can be contacted. The main evaluation directions are divided into three items: basic technology, applicability, and innovation. The technical level, application level, and continuous innovation of the public chain become important indicators for the evaluation index.
It is reported that the global public chain technology evaluation work is organized and implemented by CCID (Qingdao) Blockchain Research Institute, in cooperation with CCID Think Tank Software Industry Research Institute, China Software Evaluation Center and other units under the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute. The public chain technology evaluation index will be released regularly every month. The assessment work consists of a working group and an expert advisory group. The working group is responsible for the collection and arrangement of technical indicators. The expert advisory group is responsible for the discussion and optimization of the evaluation model.
Expert consultants for public chain technology evaluation include domestic well-known blockchain academic experts, such as Professor Chen Zhong from Peking University, Professor Xu Ke from Tsinghua University, and Professor Zhu Jianming from Central University of Finance and Economics.
