The Polkadot network has been running for a year! At this time last year, Polkadot began to create blocks, and then upgraded from PoA network to PoS network, opened the governance function, removed the sudo module, and then opened the transfer function, and renamed the denomination. Come down, let us look forward to the parachain together!
On Monday, several nodes failed with storage root mismatch errors due to different compiler versions building the local runtime and the on-chain Wasm runtime. The problem is not caused by a bug in the rust compiler. Check out this error analysis: https://polkadot.network/a-polkadot-postmortem-24-05-2021/https://polkadot.polkassembly.io/referendum/23

The Kusama Council has voted to pass motion No. 299 (upgrade Kusamas runtime to 9030) and enter the referendum. After that, the technical committee has conducted an accelerated vote on this, and the voting has ended this Friday! Currently Kusamas runtime has been upgraded to v9030. This upgrade adds some necessary changes to parachains. After this version upgrade, the Shell parachain runs stably! Looking forward to the upgrade of Statemine! https://kusama.polkassembly.io/referendum/113
Expect to see more variance in staking rewards in the near future, as those validators who choose to connect to parachains will generally earn more era points. Which validators are chosen to connect to the parachain is random and the rewards should be balanced over time.https://kusama.polkassembly.io/post/616
The second Kusama Town Hall is on May 27th at 14:30 CET to discuss Encointers proposal for a public interest identity parachain. More proposals about Encointer here: https://kusama.polkassembly.io/post/610
