The sun is shining, covering active users of Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Osmosis.

Covering every corner of the Web3 universe, the Sei airdrop is a true “cross-chain” airdrop that recognizes pioneer users of blockchain technology from many ecosystems.

In 2023, users of most popular blockchains will likely be whitelisted to be eligible to participate.

Claims for airdrops will begin when the public mainnet launches. Check eligibility and participate in the cross-chain airdrop here:https://app.sei.io/

Sei is an open source, permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for the fundamental use case of blockchain - the ability to exchange digital assets. As digital assets (from NFTs and game assets to DeFi) continue to grow, so does the need for high-performance blockchains. In response to this need, Sei aims to be ideal for high-performance, top-tier user experience applications in Web3.

(Odaily Sunday Note: Upbit has released a research report on Sei. The economic model of the content shows: 3% of the tokens belong to Binance Launchpool; 3% of the tokens belong to airdrops; 20% of the tokens belong to investors; 30% Tokens belong to ecology; 9% of tokens belong to foundation; 20% of tokens belong to early contributors; 15% of tokens belong to verification node rewards.)

Whitelisted users must bridge eligible assets to Sei.

The Sei Foundation works closely with partners to identify active users on the following blockchains: Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Osmosis. These blockchains were chosen because their users account for the vast majority of today’s blockchain activity.Active users on any of these blockchains are likely to participate.

The first step will be to create a Sei wallet such as Compass. There may be more Sei wallets ready to go live in the coming days. If you are installing these wallets for the first time, please follow the instructions and remember to keep your mnemonic phrase safe. If you have installed these wallets in the Atlantic 2 test, please make sure you have the latest version of the wallet, have imported your wallet into a prepared mainnet wallet, and are connected to the Pacific-1 Mainnet.

Simply follow the instructions on the Airdrop tab, link your existing off-chain wallet to your Sei wallet address, and bridge any listed token on the Sei bridge interface.

The Sei Foundation provides a simple front end to maintain continuity of experience, however the underlying bridging protocol is completely separate from the Sei Foundation. The Sei Foundation has no influence on the Wormhole and Axelar protocols. You can learn more about how their technology enables bridging to Sei here:

Eligible tokens include:

Wormhole:

IBC (Osmosis only):

  • ATOM

  • OSMO

Axelar:

  • Ethereum: axlUSDC

  • Arbitrum: axlUSDC

  • Polygon: axlUSDC

  • BNB Chain: axlUSDC

common problem:

1. My bridge transaction is pending, how do I know if there is a problem?

Bridging is handled entirely by Wormhole or Axelar, depending on the asset. You can visit the Wormhole Discord or visit Axelar Support for more information. Please note: When bridging from Ethereum, transactions may take up to 30 minutes to reach Sei. This delay is caused by the way the Wormhole and Axelar bridging protocols operate and does not reflect Seis finality times or performance. For example, as assets are being transferred from the source chain (in this case, Ethereum), they are being processed by the bridge protocol (in this case, Wormhole).

2. Are there any restrictions on the assets bridged inside and outside Sei?

Any limits are determined by Wormhole and Axelar setting their parameters. The Sei Foundation has no control or say in this process. The standard procedure for Wormhole is to launch on new blockchains with default daily and large transaction limits, this applies to bridges within and outside Sei - please be aware of this and be aware that these limits will increase over time. Axelar also limits bridging axlUSDC to/from Sei at $3 million per 6 hours.

3. How many airdrops can I get?

Participants can earn up to one airdrop per external whitelisted address associated with the Sei wallet.

4. Once I claim an airdrop tier, can I try again with the same Sei wallet/external chain wallet?

Cant.

5. Do I need to share the private key to link my wallet?

unnecessary. Your private key is never shared or revealed during this process.

6. I participate in Sei’s Atlantic 2 testnet and/or ambassador program, where can I find my rewards?

Odaily note: According to the official blog post, for community members who participate in Atlantic 2 testing and the Sei Ambassador Program, the Sei Foundation has reserved SEI tokens to reward testers as part of the Atlantic Rewards Sei distribution. Once the Pacific-1 mainnet After the public release of Pacific-1, Sei community members can find out whether they are eligible in the Atlantic Rewards tab.
Community members will need to import their wallets to a Sei-Mainnet friendly wallet, and if they have one of these wallets installed, they will need to update to the latest version of the Pacific-1 mainnet.
