On September 18, Web3 technology company OKX unveiled a revamped version of its wallet product. The improvements mainly include a new interface, expanded token discovery capabilities, support for millions of cryptocurrencies and collectibles, and support for access to more than 100 public chains and thousands of DeFi products.
The upgrade was announced during a fireside chat at Token 2049 Singapore, where OKX CMO Haider Rafique and Formula 1 driver Lando Norris discussed the intersection of technology, motorsports, and the on-chain world, highlighting the importance of innovation and adoption of new technologies.
Key details of the revamped OKX wallet include:
• Improved interface: The new layout provides a smoother experience, simplifies asset management, token exchange and discovery, and provides users with a secure and efficient entry to a diverse on-chain ecosystem.
• Upgraded Token Discovery Page: The new token page allows wallet holders to explore over a million different types of tokens, including popular memecoins on networks like Solana, Base, Tron, and BNB, with customizable sorting options; approximately 120,000 tokens are added to the OKX wallet’s DEX every week.
• Updated Marketplace: A streamlined user experience that enables users to discover and purchase over three million digital collectibles, including Bitcoin Ordinals.
• Ultra-fast DEX: Wallet DEX now offers industry-leading quote response times and transaction speeds, retrieving and aggregating prices from nearly 500 decentralized exchanges with an average response time of approximately 50 milliseconds
• Optimized navigation page: Intuitive categories improve the overall experience, and third-party DeFi protocol aggregators can now be easily accessed in the “Discover” section.
The revamped OKX Wallet serves as a unified self-hosted portal, providing an on-chain experience across more than 100 networks, including mainstream public chains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and TON. Transparency and security remain paramount in this user experience update, with risk assessments performed on more than 1 million tokens and thousands of DeFi products.
