Puffer Announces PUFFER Token Economics, Airdrop Will Be Available on October 15

ether.fi: Restaking rewards will be launched on October 15
Odaily Planet Daily News ether.fi published a post on X stating that the re-staking rewards will be launched on October 15. Stakers holding weETH or eETH can receive staking, re-staking and Season 4 rewards (ether.fi points).
Starting from October 15, eETH holders will receive the first batch of re-staking rewards in the form of LRT² tokens. The rewards are distributed in a linear distribution every Thursday, and users holding weETH or eETH will automatically receive LRT².
LRT² represents a portion of the re-staking reward pool earned by the LRT protocol, which is fully backed and redeemable by underlying reward tokens (including EIGEN). In the coming weeks, the team will add more AVS rewards through joint partnerships formed within the AVS ecosystem to bring exclusive benefits and events to the community.
All eETH will be treated equivalently when earning restaking yield, whether self-custodied or actively used in DeFi partner protocols. To celebrate the launch of LRT², additional ETHFI rewards will be added to the pool for all participating stakers to share.

198th Ethereum ACDE Meeting: Developers plan to launch Pectra Devnet 4 by October 17
Odaily Planet Daily News: Galaxy Vice President of Research Christine Kim summarized the 198th Ethereum Core Developer Executive (ACDE) conference call, where developers shared their progress in launching Pectra Devnet 4. They also discussed the possible inclusion of two new EIPs in Pectra, namely EIP 7782 and 7783. The former proposed to reduce the slot time from 12 seconds to 8 seconds, while the other proposed a new mechanism to increase the block gas limit. Both are aimed at improving the scalability of Ethereum, and developers have not yet decided whether to include them in Pectra or future upgrades.
The deadline for submitting Pectra system contract audit proposals is October 11, and accepted proposals will be confirmed no later than October 22. The developers have not yet released Pectra Devnet 4 and discussed public issues related to its release, including the decision to include EIP 6110 updates in Devnet 4.
Ethereum Foundation developer operations engineer Barnabas Busa shared a quick status update on Pectra Devnet 3. The developers stopped finalizing it due to issues with the Geth client. Busa said his team is deploying a new version of Geth to re-stabilize the network.
Developers agreed to attempt to launch Pectra Devnet 4 before the ACDC meeting next Thursday (October 17, 2024), and also agreed to schedule a separate breakout meeting after the test call on Monday, October 14, 2024 to further discuss the topic of BLS precompile repricing.
Developers plan to launch a public Pectra testnet before Devcon, the annual ethereum developer conference, and are considering a name for the testnet. Some suggestions that community members have made include MooDeng and Khlong.
