Hackathon Overview
Naija HackAtom has concluded successfully. A total of 160 developers registered for the event and 51 projects were successfully presented. The hackathon aims to promote the development of Interchain, Cosmos Hub and Atom Economic Zone (AEZ) within the Nigerian Web3 community. The main goals are to cultivate local talents, provide resource support, and develop blockchain applications based on $ATOM tokens.
The event focused on key areas such as Interchain security, Atom Economic Zone, CosmWasm, and the specific development of ATOM. Among them, projects such as the cross-chain remittance platform and the decentralized market for African farmers were particularly eye-catching, fully demonstrating the innovative application potential of Cosmos technology.
This hackathon set up a prize pool of $10,000 to reward outstanding projects in UI/UX design, community participation and Atom innovative application solutions. With the assistance of a series of seminars and public tutorials, the projects submitted by the participants were evaluated from the dimensions of technical feasibility, innovation, social impact and user experience. With its wide participation and rich innovative results, the event has effectively promoted the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Nigeria and even the entire Africa.
Hackathon Winners
As the first hackathon in Nigeria focusing on Cosmos and ATOM, Naija HackAtom attracted more than 500 participants, including 160 developers. With the support of ATOMAccelerator, the event received 57 project submissions, and 18 projects finally stood out and became the finalists.
