Sony Groups Amber Japan announces name change to S.BLOX

Odaily News Amber Japan, the operator of the crypto asset trading service WhaleFin, has changed its name to S.BLOX on July 1, 2024. S.BLOX was formerly the Japanese exchange DeCurret, which was acquired by a subsidiary of Singapore market maker Amber Group in February 2022, and then acquired by Quetta Web Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Group in August 2023. As a member of the Sony Group, S.BLOX plans to promote cooperation with the groups diversified businesses and is committed to creating new added value in crypto asset trading services. (Coinpost)
