This Wednesday (May 16), at the 2018 Coindesk Consensus Conference, the blockchain data platform Streamr announced a partnership with Finnish telecommunications giant Nokia and California software company OSlsoft to allow mobile customers to use their own data on the blockchain to money. , and can also conduct purchase transactions.
Henri Pihkala, CEO of Streamr, also announced the launch of a real-time data transaction platform based on blockchain technology, which allows platforms to obtain and subscribe to real-time data streams through the platform.
In a statement, Henri Pihkala said:
Today is a very important day in the history of Streamr, not only to showcase our platform on the stage of Coindesk Consensus 2018, but also to obtain two important partners.
Through cooperation with Nokia, Streamrs data trading platform will integrate Nokia Kuha base stations, allowing Nokia customers to control their own data and earn money from it, and can also purchase streaming data on IoT devices.
Martti Ylikoski, Head of Wireless Systems Development, Nokia, said:
“We recognize that there is a growing trend for consumers to want to control and empower their mobile data to be more valuable. This partnership with Streamr reflects Nokia’s strong belief in the platform .”
Participants can buy and sell real-time data streams through Ethereum smart contracts. Both data buyers and sellers need to use an ERC-20 digital token called DATAcoin.
In addition, by cooperating with OSlsoft, Streamr hopes to help enterprise customers make money from their own operational data. In early May of this year, Streamr and HP entered into a partnership to use its data aggregation and analysis tool Streamr Engine to collect data feedback from the Audi Q2 car.
