Big Time is a free-to-play game that combines fast action combat, NFT collectibles, and time-traveling adventure. This game puts playability first. Players can truly own their own items, identities and other information in the game, and can also use their identities in multiple virtual worlds. This enhances interoperability between gaming platforms.
In addition, as an RPG game, its storytelling method is quite different from existing games of the same type. MARK:Big Time is a AAA game using NFTs and other crypto assets. Big Time is widely used - because you dont need to have prior knowledge of encryption or prepare hundreds of thousands of dollars before playing the game. Its a familiar experience for traditional gamers, and anyone can download it and start playing right away.
We loosely describe Big Times gameplay as 80% Diablo 2 and 20% World of Warcraft time travel theme. 20% of World of Warcraft is about the core part of the MMO format, centered around interoperable and combat-oriented classes (tanks, healers, mages, damage) and large common areas on large maps that can be used to display or show off your Earned gear, mounts, and other loot. 80% of Diablo 2 is about the core loop of killing harder monsters by killing them for better loot, with additional loot systems and dungeon generation.

We have Ari, the CEO who founded DCL (Decentraland).
Thor, our Chief Product Officer, pioneered MMOs at EA and helped grow Zynga from a small startup to the largest IPO since Google while expanding the game portfolio to over 20MM MAU.
Matt, our CTO, has worked on some big games like Fortnite, Gears of War, Epic and EAs Medal of Honor.
Tom, our Lead Concept Artist, previously worked on Riots League of Legends.
TJ, our lead level designer, has worked on some of the biggest Call of Duty games at Infinity Ward.
Aaron and Martin, our art director and lead engineer respectively, have both worked on Fortnite and Gears of War.

Odaily: Why build the second generation of P2E?
MARK:The traditional generation of games often has poor playability. Before the game is launched, the tokens will return to zero first. The concept of Fi is much larger than that of Game. The playability is poor and it is difficult to maintain for a long time.
We want our users to play games because its fun, not because it feels like a job, because only studios can play the first generation of P2E.
Big Time wanted to create an immersive gaming experience. We have heard feedback from many players that they dont like the way existing blockchain games are played. So we use their feedback to improve, and thats what we think the future of blockchain gaming is going to be.
That means tackling the high barrier to entry and making a free-to-play game.
It also means building a game where players actually own their items in the game. When you get item upgrades in Big Time, users can use them, sell them on the market, and mint them onto various chains. Players will own their stuff.
Odaily: Compared with the first generation of P2E games, what is the improvement of Big Time?

At Big Time, we believe the future of gaming will include ownership, identity, and interoperability. Ownership, allowing players to actually own their items in the game. Identity, players own their own information, rather than being monopolized by companies. Interoperability, where players can use their identities in multiple virtual worlds. So Big Time is building something that does all of that, with the goal of building interoperability with other platforms.
Odaily: What plans do you have for the game guild? Is there a guild that cooperates with you?
MARK:We are currently cooperating with the Web3 community OpenDAO. OpenDAO has completed the first land transaction with the highest value in human history, the purchase of Space land for $5 million.
Weve worked closely with several of the worlds top guilds. They already have a plan on how to use their SPACE (land) to attract interest from gamers.
12% of SPACE is used for guilds.
Odaily: What kind of game level can you play this game? Are there any requirements for computer configuration?
Rice cake sk:Anyone can play! Its completely free. Big Time is designed for everyone, a standard computer can play the game.
The minimum specs for our game are:
GeForce GTX 1060 or higher / Radeon Rx 580 or higher.
8GB RAM.
DirectX 11 or higher.
Intel Core i5 4430/ AMD FX 6300.
10GB of free drive space.
These specifications may be adjusted according to game development.
Odaily: Will there be different game modes for different skill levels?
MARK:Yeah, procedural generation is one of the coolest parts. We can basically create infinitely different unique environments for players to fight in. That means, every time you go into an ice dungeon, its different from the last time.
In the play zone section, we also have a lot of different locations, which we call timeshares. So far weve had maps like Times End, Samurai City, and Dinosaur Canyons, and there are many more. In Early Access, youll be able to play the Times End map.
In Times End, there are the Paradox Forge, the Infinity Dome, and the Siphon, all different landmarks.
Odaily: What if I want Game Pass but I cant afford it?

Odaily: Do characters in game levels go up after clearing some floors/spaces? Do all characters have the same stacking skill trees/attack patterns? Or are you implementing a larger scale skill. Like skill tree evolution?

They wont give you any edge, but they will make you look cool.
