SEC seeks intermediate appeal of summary judgment in Ripple Labs case

Odaily News - The SEC has submitted a letter to Judge Analisa Torres of the Southern District of New York seeking an intermediate appeal on two unfavorable liability rulings in the Ripple Labs case. The SEC stated that it is seeking to appeal certain aspects of the ruling, while other parts will proceed to trial. Ripple must respond by August 16, and the SEC will submit a pre-trial memorandum on August 18. The SEC stated, "There is a need for intermediate review here, as it involves controlling legal issues with differing views, which is reflected in the internal divisiveness that has already emerged in the region."
