Movement Network Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the public mainnet Beta
Now, for the first time, Movement Network supports permissionless application deployment and user onboarding, and you can build freely on Movement.
The launch of the public mainnet Beta marks the completion of the initial phase of Movement Network, and we will continue to launch more features.
What is Movement?
Movement is a secure and scalable Move-based blockchain secured by Ethereum and cryptoeconomics, building a more secure execution environment through Move (an Aptos-like language).
Its high-level architecture and transaction lifecycle can be described as follows:
Movement High-Level Architecture and Transaction Lifecycle
implement
Movement uses the Move Virtual Machine (MoveVM) as its execution layer. Using BlockSTMs MoveVM forms a powerful execution engine that can theoretically achieve more than 160,000 TPS.
Data availability and sequencing
Movements masternode batches and stores transactions and provides partial transaction sorting. Subsequently, Celestia assists in completing the final transaction sorting of Movement. In the future, Movements transactions will be sorted by a decentralized sorter.
Settlement
Transaction blocks are anchored to Ethereum, making Movement the only Move-based blockchain that settles to Ethereum. Proof of block state is submitted to Ethereum as part of Movements post-confirmation, which is also part of the networks upcoming fast finality settlement mechanism. In addition, the confirmation layer will enable Movement to achieve transaction confirmation within seconds.
Gas Token
MOVE is the native gas token of Movement Network.
Move
The Move language developed by Meta introduces the concept of resource-oriented programming. It provides developers with domain-specific primitives required to write secure smart contracts, as well as the Move Prover tool. Move Prover provides developers with formal verification capabilities.
Building on Movement
Developers can now deploy smart contracts without approval. Users can now use Movement.
To prevent Sybil attacks and abuse, and to ensure the security and stability of the system, endpoints will implement rate limiting.
bridging
Movement’s official bridge is now live.
Powered by LayerZero, the bridge is the official on-ramp and off-ramp for the Movement Network.
You can bridge MOVE between Movement and Ethereum. Other supported assets include: USDT, USDC, WETH, and WBTC. For a period of time after launch, users will not be able to bridge MOVE back to Ethereum, but this limitation is only temporary.
Initially, there will be a waiting period of up to 3 days for assets bridged from Movement to Ethereum. There will be no waiting period for assets bridged from Ethereum to Movement.
In order to minimize potential losses in the event of an exploit, the cross-chain bridge sets a limit on the total amount of MOVE that can be transferred per day:
Day 1: 75 million MOVE
Every day thereafter: 25 million MOVE
Movement Ecosystem Day 1 Overview
Many applications have already been deployed on Movement, and more are on the way. Here are some of the many activities you can do on the chain right now:
Use the official bridge to bridge MOVE
Stake MOVE on Thunderhead , Meridian or Movernance
Buy NFTs or publish a collectible on Tradeport
Deposit your assets into Canopy to earn yield
Borrowing on MovePosition or Echelon
Issue tokens on move.fun or warpgate.fun
Launch an AI agent on DeAgentAI or interact with an agent on RNDM
Mint AI art NFTs or upload models on CoScription
Predictions on BRKT
Movement Wallet: Nightly , OKX , Razor
These are just some of the many Movement teams now live. Expect a steady stream of new app announcements, explanations, and video demos starting today.

Enhanced liquidity
The Cornucopia program will provide enhanced liquidity to the Movement Network. With over $200 million flowing into the program’s treasury and ultimately into Movement, our ecosystem will receive an early injection of BTC, ETH, MOVE, and stablecoin assets.

Roadmap
The Movement Network will continue to add groundbreaking new features over time. The network’s fast finality mechanism is scheduled to go live soon. In addition, there are other features in the works, including a decentralized shared sorter.
Welcome to Movement
We are excited for the many talented Movement teams to begin deployments!
We are very excited for you to use and experience Movement!
